We aim to make every step in the process simple and hassle-free for you. Here’s what to expect from our service from start to finish.

1. Getting advice

Our website is full of useful information when you are looking to replace windows and doors, but we understand often traditional windows are unique so Sashed surveyors are available to answer your questions and help you decide on the right products for your home.

2. Getting a price

We want to give you a price in the quickest and simplest way possible. We are able to give you an initial price, without the need for a home visit, based on your approximate measurements and photos, if in doubt this short video shows you how to take measurements, simply send them to us using our request a quote page or email them to hello@sashed.com. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can come to your home to do a pricing survey, this will take less than a minute or two per window or door. Sorry, if you’re outside of London we will need to charge you for this service.

3. Quote

After receiving your measurements and specifications we will email you with a quote ‘subject to survey’ detailing the work we will carry out and itemising the costs for the windows, doors, fitting and disposal of old items. Where we have conducted a pricing survey the price quoted will be what you will pay. We endeavour to get our quotations turned around within 24 hours; occasionally if an item is very bespoke, or we are exceptionally busy during the summer months it may take up to 5 days.

4. Manufacturing survey

Once you have chosen Sashed Limited to supply and fit your window and doors a surveyor will come and do a manufacturing survey, this will take longer, up to 15 to 30 minutes per window/door. This survey will feed into the manufacturing process and be used to brief the fitting team.

5. Ordering

To place your order you will need to sign the Purchase Agreement and pay a deposit of 40%. For ease, the purchase agreement is digitally signed online via DocuSign, and invoices are paid via bank transfer or online using a debit or credit card. Once we have received payment and you have digitally signed your purchase agreement your order will go into production. Our typical lead time is 8-10 weeks, but may be longer during peak periods.

6. Prior to fitting

Shortly after receiving your order we will notify you when your windows/doors will be ready and agree on a fitting date with you. We will liaise with you over details such as scaffolding, skip hire, access to the property, parking permits, and health and safety arrangements. The week before fitting you will receive an email with details of your lead installer, timings and what to expect. We will also invoice you for the interim payment of 40%.

7. Fitting

Our fitting team will ensure the work is carried out with the utmost care and consideration for your home, but please take sensible precautions and remove any valuable or breakable items from areas where the installers will be working. They will always remove and replace windows on the same day so your house will remain secure overnight. After installing your windows or doors, they will make good the inside and outside walls and ensure everything is left in a clean and tidy condition and if you asked us to, we’ll take away and dispose of your old windows and doors. Our lead installer will check you are happy with everything before departing.

8. Completion

Within a day or two of completing the project one of our Management Team will contact you to ensure you are happy with your new windows/doors, and we will email you the balancing invoice of 20%.

9. Aftercare

Over and above your full consumer rights, you will receive our 10-year guarantee. This guarantee is insured by the Independent Warranty Association (IWA) for the full ten years, at no cost to you. Sashed is registered with FENSA as an approved installer of windows and doors. When the fitting is complete we will register your installation with FENSA who will post a copy of your building regulations compliance certificate directly to you and your local authority.
