The Sashed
French
door
Our standard external French door is a traditional flush door system which can be designed to incorporate a number of single and double door leaf configurations, with side panels and fanlights, if required. The traditional flush French door is available opening inwards where external space is limited, on balconies for example, or opening outwards to avoid encroaching on internal living space. This versatile product can be designed to suit any project.
We also offer storm proof (lipped) French doors, which are manufactured with an outward opening door which is set proud (set outwards) from the frame to give excellent performance and protection against adverse weather conditions.

All our timber French doors, or patio doors, are finished to an immaculate standard and are spray painted in our factory with four coats of paint or stain. We only use the highest quality slow-grown Grade 1 finger-jointed pine or meranti hardwood for our French doors – the choice is yours. We can also offer French doors in oak and sapele if required. Click here to see our wood types for more details.
Our glazing utilises the latest technology in thermal performance. All our double and triple glazing units are argon filled. We offer a full range of options including acoustic, toughened and obscured glazing. All our glazing comes with warm edge spacers in a range of colours to suit your doors. Our FENSA registered specialist installation teams offer a premium service for our customers throughout the London area. As you would expect, they are experts in installing traditional wooden windows and doors. We can also undertake modifications to the size or shape of your openings, for example, if you are replacing a sliding sash window with French doors. Our installers will take care to protect your property while they are working and will leave everything in a clean and tidy condition. Your timber French doors are ‘door systems’ and are manufactured with a multi-point security locking system as standard with double handles which provide high security and maximum safety. Our standard handle finishes are available in white, black, polished chrome, satin chrome, and polished brass. When using our installation services, and as members of the FENSA scheme both your deposit and warranty are independently insured with an insurance backed guarantee policy from The Independent Warranty Association (IWA), more details available on the IWA website. In addition to your FENSA certificate your new windows will also be registered with your local authority as legal and compliant with building regulations, this is vital if you ever decide to sell your property.
Sashed makes a Declarations of Performance and CE marks all of our products with a printed CE label. In the UK, a CE marked product shows legal compliance with building regulations (Part L), which apply to all new external windows and doors.
Sashed has been vetted and endorsed as a Which? Trusted trader.
Finally Sashed is a member of the UK government TrustMark scheme, we are audited annually by TrustMark, to ensure processes, standards and complaint procedures are being maintained.
