Casement Bay Windows:
The property is a detached house in Hampstead, London. Sashed were asked to replace three casement bay windows, due to heat loss in the property. There was also rot present on the exterior of the windows. With the help of the Sashed team, the customer choose to replace their windows with Accoya, which comes with a 50 year rot & anti-fungal warranty, and has a five-star rating for it’s thermal performance over time. The detailing on the front of this property is exquisite and the layering of proud frames creates a sympathetic addition to facade. Casement bays are particularly difficult to survey and often require a skilled surveyor for precise measurement and angle taking.
- Windows: Two casement bays with Proud frames and one bay with Flush profile containing casement windows, to refresh the elevations of the property, and provide better thermal performance.
- Glazing: For all of the windows 24mm (4/16/4) Argon filled, toughened glass.
- Style: Proud frames (frames sit proud of the opening sash), side hung sashes with a fixed dummy sash in the centre. External rake moulding to match existing aesthetic of windows.
- Finish: Windows were manufactured in Accoya with a spray-painted to factory finish with RAL 9016 on both the exterior and interior. The windows were then furnished with polished chrome ironmongery.
