The property is a garden flat conversion in Mitcham, Surrey. The existing French doors and windows were single glazed and the frames and sills were rotting. The customer wanted to keep the same style of windows but to update them with thermally efficient and noise reducing double glazing. Sashed copied the existing designs exactly, with the use of astragal glazing bars and ovolo beading. The windows and doors were painted in cool white paint. All items were factory spray painted, which gives them a highly durable finish that will not need repainting for at least 10 years.
